The Nichols Damascus is professionally forged from stainless steel, to keep the blade looking great for years to come. The handle is hand shaped from a mammoth tusk. I was able to utilize a little bit of the caramel colored ivory that was exposed to the permafrost. The brass guard features a hammer forged finish. Simple in it’s construction, and utilizing exceptional materials that come together to form a one of a kind knife. The sheath is hand made from bison leather.
Over all knife length is just under 9 inches.
I used the highest quality, slow cure, flexible epoxy. The blade was heat treated in a top of the line electric heat treating oven, to maximize the steel’s performance.
